Text Desk is an app that helps you use your Windows 10 PC to send and receive text messages from your phone. If you constantly get messages on your smartphone and attending to them breaks your workflow, then Text Desk is a neat way to bring in some organisation.
Saves Time
After installing the app on your computer, your messages would pop up on your laptop, so that you don’t have to pick up your mobile device, unlock it, open the text message app, read the message, respond to or discard the message, lock your device, keep the phone on your desk and get back to work. By negating these steps, you are saving some precious minutes, especially if you have the habit of jumping off to other apps while checking messages on your phone.
Cloud Integration
When your phone receives a text message, the Text Desk app pushes the text to the cloud. The message then reaches your paired Windows 10 machine from the cloud and a popup message shows up on your computer screen. You can now reply to the message from your PC. Once you type your message and send it, the message takes the reverse route – it heads to the cloud, gets pushed to your mobile device from the cloud, and heads to the recipient’s device from your phone. The person on the other end of the message, by the way, would be totally unaware of all these events.
